Crafting Your Best Personal Statement

This webinar will provide key insights about the role of the personal statement in the application-review process for admission to law school.  Additionally, the presenter will offer a series of recommendations for writing an effective personal statement, including a series of "dos" and "don'ts."  Additionally, the presenter will critique three personal statements submitted by former applicants to law school.  In the 15-minute Q and A segment following the formal remarks, the presenter will  respond to questions from webinar participants. 

There is no cost to attend, but early registration is encouraged.

Presenter

  • Charles Roboski has served as director or dean of law school admissions since 1988.  During that time he has reviewed nearly 45,000 applications for admission and has worked with a cross section of faculty members serving on admission committees.  Dean Roboski joined the administration at Michigan State University College of Law in 2008 as Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. He has served as Director of Admissions at Notre Dame Law School, Assistant Dean of Admissions at Ohio State University College of Law, among others.
