Bryan Efrain Concepcion adjucates disability appeals which means thoroughly reviewing all case files and administrative hearings. He also advises administrative law judges by identifying pertinent legal issues for each case.

"The most rewarding part of my job is that I continue to apply the legal writing skills I acquired during school school and my professional work experiences," he said. "It is very rewarding to practice in the nation's capital amongst attorneys from around the world. It's always been my desire to work here."

Concepcion maintained a broad course of studies while enrolled at MSU Law that included clinical education and a Washington, D.C. externship. During his time in DC, he worked for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and assisted with employment discrimination appeals. His broad coursework allowed him to offer more to employers. "The ability to perform well in different subject matters demonstrated my ability to adapt to the needs of my employer," he said. "Moreover, my experience in specific practice areas demonstrated my interest."

Bryan said the strength of the law college can be pinned on the clinical professors, who provide students with the opportunity to develop practical skills in addition to the knowledge obtained in the classroom, particularly Professors Anne Lawton, Brian Gilmore and Troy Brown. "The faculty at MSU Law is an invaluable asset that distinguishes the school from amongst the others."
