Investor Advocacy Clinic
The Investor Advocacy Clinic represents and educates investors while providing a quality educational experience to Michigan State University College of Law students. The clinic is made possible through Law College support and a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation.
The clinic provides legal representation and advice to eligible investors who suffered losses resulting from misconduct, but who cannot secure private legal representation due to the relatively small size of their claims. Some misconduct claims include misrepresentation, unsuitability, unauthorized trading, excessive trading (“churning”), and failure to supervise.
