Crafting Your Law School Personal StatementTuesday, January 5, 7:30 p.m., EST
This webinar will provide key insights about the role of the personal statement in the application-review process for admission to law school. The presenters also will offer recommendations for writing an effective personal statement, including "do's" and "don'ts." Multiple personal statements submitted by former applicants to law school will be reviewed and critiqued. In the 15-minute Q and A segment following the formal remarks, the presenters will respond to questions from webinar participants.
Charles Roboski has served as a dean/director of law school admissions at six law schools, joining the administration at Michigan State University College of Law in 2008. In the course of his 25+ year career as a chief admissions officer he has worked with dozens of admission committee members and has reviewed 50,000 applications for admission.
Justin Williams is assistant director of law admissions at Michigan State University College of Law. He counsels prospective law students at each phase of the law school exploration and planning process - from freshmen in college to candidates who have been offered admission.
