"During stressful times and especially around finals, I can always depend on Diversity Services to check in on me and ensure I am balancing my responsibilities well."

When considering where to go for law school, Danyale Phillips compared schools’ locations, name recognition, and the legal market in each state to determine what would be a good fit. “MSU Law had all of the components I was looking for,” she said. “After visiting one of the admitted students events, my decision to attend MSU Law was solidified.”

Danyale found that MSU Law offers a supportive atmosphere for an environment that is oftentimes considered competitive and overwhelming. “Additionally, the faculty is well-equipped to advise students on a wide array of practice areas,” she said.

In addition, Diversity Services had a major impact on her performance at MSU Law. “During stressful times and especially around finals, I can always depend on Diversity Services to check in on me and ensure I am balancing my responsibilities well,” Danyale said.

“My experience at MSU Law has allowed me to meet people who will undoubtedly be in my life for a long time,” she said. “The students I am in classes with are the same individuals I look forward to referring clients to, consulting with, and working with in various capacities. This experience and the relationships I have built will last far beyond these three years.”
