“While law school is inherently competitive, I have always felt a sense of camaraderie and comfort within the MSU COL community. The friendly community environment made the transition into law school easier.”

Claire Corsey chose MSU Law for the national recognition of the Michigan State name and the network of law and undergraduate alumni the school offers its graduates. “That Spartan Spirit the school fosters in its students is a powerful vessel through which professional connections can be formed,” she said.

“In my opinion, the atmosphere of MSU Law is one of its best qualities,” Claire said. “While law school is inherently competitive, I have always felt a sense of camaraderie and comfort within the MSU Law community. The friendly community environment made the transition into law school easier.”

During the summer of 2015, Claire completed an externship at the Orleans Public Defenders office in New Orleans. “It was incredibly influential in shaping my career goals and I know I want to work in a client-centered profession,” she said. “I would not have known about this summer opportunity without MSU Law's commitment to public interest law. I feel confident that my summer experience was influential in preparing me for my future as a lawyer.”
