“I wanted a big school experience, with a strong sports culture, and a global reputation. MSU Law hit all those factors with flying colors.”

Jed McIntosh chose MSU Law because when he visited, it felt like home. “It just felt right,” he said. “I wanted a big school experience, with a strong sports culture, and a global reputation. MSU Law hit all those factors with flying colors.”

Jed said that while MSU Law is located on a large campus with over 45,000 students, the law school still provides a “small school” environment. “I think another strength is in all of the clinical opportunities that are present at the school to allow students to get ‘hands on’ experience, which is constantly in demand by employers,” he said.

Jed received a JD and an MBA through the joint JD/MBA program. “I wanted to maximize my time, skills, and career options while at MSU,” he said “I've always had an interest in both business and law, and MSU Law allowed me to combine both these interests to pursue a unique degree.”

Along his journey, Jeb received career advice from his peer advisor. “My advisor listened to my interests and connections and helped me use my network in order to find an externship exactly where I wanted to. This led me to getting a great experience and using some of the theoretical things I learned in my first year in a hands-on, real-life situation,” he said.

Jeb advises future students to choose the law school that's the best fit for them. “Law school is difficult, but rewarding. To be successful you have to be happy and enjoy where you are,” he said.
