“The Alternative Dispute Resolution program at the Law College goes above and beyond in preparing you as to the processes of negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.”

For Armin Mizani, the decision to choose Michigan State University College of Law was simple. “As a result of its affiliation with Michigan State University, the Law College has taken significant steps towards assuring its position as a leading institution of legal education. The faculty and professors at the Law College are highly respected and distinguished within their concentrations, and as a result, put the law school in an upward trajectory,” he said.

Armin said his J.D. from MSU Law prepared him extensively for his position as a litigation attorney. “The Alternative Dispute Resolution program at the Law College goes above and beyond in preparing you as to the processes of negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. A vast majority of the cases I work on will be settled prior to trial thanks in some part to one of the ADR processes taught to me by the Law College's ADR program,” he said. “The ability to be put in a situation where you meet and personally handle the matters of a real-life client is an opportunity that is truly unique and one that cannot be simply taught in a classroom.”

The most rewarding part about Armin’s work is the fact that he uses the legal skills that he learned while at MSU Law to positively affect the lives of individuals whose legal rights have been unjustly violated. “The ability to listen to a client’s issue or concern and then work to find a solution is one that provides me with the utmost sense of personal gratification,” Armin said.
