Joshua Reznik chose MSU Law because it is the only school with a legal clinic dedicated to First Amendment rights and the school offers specialized sections for the first-year legal research and writing course. 

“People everywhere knows what it means to be a Spartan,” said Reznik. “MSU Law is a dedicated community aiming to provide top-notch education to the future generation of lawyers and game changers. There are so many opportunities to learn and develop your skills at MSU Law. Law school is the time to further develop your true passion and commitment to serving others and helping out a greater cause.”

Reznik has a background in media and communications. Focusing on IP and Communications Law allows him to “stay true to my undergraduate communications roots” while also further developing his passion to be a part of the global conversation to enact positive social change. He also participated in the First Amendment Clinic for this reason.

In addition, Reznik noted the MSU Law staff and faculty have been extremely positive.

“Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is quite possibly the best place in the school to go when life happens,” said Reznik. “I have been fortunate to meet with the OSA staff regarding various issues. They are incredibly attentive and willing to listen. They mostly follow an open-door policy, which is incredibly welcoming for students, so everyone knows they have a place to go to talk.”

While law school can be challenging, Reznik said his advice to students would be to keep up with their studies and it will fall into place.

“The most important thing that I have learned thus far is that, when you dedicate the time, good results occur,” said Reznik. “Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would have had so many wonderful opportunities based solely on my interest and passion for communications, creativity, and advocacy. MSU Law is brilliant because there are so many people here who truly want every student to be successful and walk away feeling prepared to sit for the bar.”
