”No matter where a prospective student is looking to practice after law school, Michigan State University College of Law provides the right tools and experience to launch that career.“

Emily Rogers practices law in a variety of civil defense matters, with a focus on complex product liability defense. “The clients I serve include automobile manufacturers, heavy equipment manufacturers, insurance companies, and aviation component manufacturers,” she said. “I work with amazing trial attorneys who provide excellent training and experience.  My job is challenging, interesting, and I also have the pleasure of working directly with clients who are engaging and thought-provoking.”

When Emily was a student at MSU College of Law, being an Articles Editor for the Michigan State Law Review helped boost her resume. She also gained invaluable research and writing experience working as a judicial extern to the Honorable David W. McKeague of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. “Working with the U.S. Attorney's Office in D.C. and the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender provided courtroom experience and helped prepare me for my current position as a litigator,” she said.

“Michigan State has name recognition and respect throughout the country” Emily said. “So, no matter where a prospective student is looking to practice after law school, Michigan State University College of Law provides the right tools and experience to launch that career.”
