“I not only found an internship in my hometown, but an internship with a Michigan State Alumni."

Caitlin Rollins has found that the MSU College of Law offers each student individualized attention to develop his or her academic and career goals. “For example, Career Services meets with each 1L shortly after fall semester to discuss pending summer plans and potential graduation goals,” she said.

She described the Law College community as a highly supportive environment. Caitlin said that if a student is proactive with her education, other students and the professors will provide assistance. “Classmates will share notes before you even ask and professors will genuinely look forward to answering questions outside of class,” she said.

Though 1L year was not easy, Caitlin said MSU Law had a variety of built-in support systems to help balance the workload. In particular, the Academic Success Program helped her seek improvement on everything from outlining skills to exam strategy.

Even after one year at law school, the Michigan State name already helped further Caitlin’s legal education. “Initially, I was concerned that I would not find an internship in Colorado this summer; however, I not only found an internship in my hometown, but an internship with a Michigan State Alumni,” she said.
