“In today's legal market, a friend can make a world of difference--and there is no better friend to have than a fellow Spartan.”

For James Vicchairelli, the greatest asset of the Law College is the sense of community among students. “At MSU Law, I found myself excelling in my studies because of the people with whom I was fortunate enough to work alongside on a daily basis,” he said. “In today's legal market, a friend can make a world of difference –and there is no better friend to have than a fellow Spartan.”

As a notes editor on the Michigan State Law Review and a Competitor on the Michigan State Moot Court & Trial Advocacy Board, James was able to improve his communication skills by working with successful practitioners, faculty, and students in representing the Law College. “I was also able to gain key insights and litigation experience through my externships with multiple state prosecuting offices,” he said. “The best way to find out if you really like an area of law is to get out of the classroom and see how it works.”

“MSU Law is a place I will always remember because of the great opportunities I was given, the tough challenges I faced, and the incredible people that helped me through the experience,” James said.
