Getting Started with Your Legal Education
New students are admitted to the College at the beginning of the fall semester. New students are not admitted at spring or summer sessions.
- Applications for the fall semester, which begins in August, must be on file with the Law College on or before March 1. The current application fee is $60 and is non-refundable.
- Registration with the Law School Data Assembly Services (LSDAS) is required by the Law College.
- Early completion of the application file (application form and LSDAS report) is recommended as some admissions decisions are made well before the application deadline. LSAT scores more than three years old will not be accepted.
- Arrangements for taking the LSAT and registering for the LSDAS must be made by the applicant. LSDAS registration materials and information concerning the time and place of the LSAT can be obtained online at www.lsac.org or by calling 215/968-1001. These materials also may be picked up at the Law College Office of Admissions located at 230 Law College Building, East Lansing, MI 48824-1300.
- Letters of recommendation are not required but are recommended.
