Recruiting Process

On-Campus Recruiting

MSU College of Law hosts on-campus interviews during the Fall and Spring semesters.  Employers come to the MSU Law campus to interview 2L students for Summer Associate positions, and 3L students for post-graduate positions.  Students use the online COC system to research OCI employers, upload documents electronically, and bid for employer interviews.  Employers interview students in private interview rooms located in the MSU Law Career Services Office.  Students receive in-depth instruction and preparation for all aspects of on-campus interviews.

In addition, MSU Law has extensive Collect and Send and Direct Send programs.  MSU Law collects student resumes and forwards them as a group to employers that have expressed interest in considering MSU Law students, but are not able to physically come to campus to conduct interviews.  MSU Law Career Services also works with students to develop and execute Direct Send strategies to employers nationwide.

Resume Collection/Direct Send

Students may submit resumes to Career Services for forwarding to participating employers as a group, or they may send their resumes directly to employers. Resulting interviews take place at times and locations specified by the employers.

Job Postings

MSU Law students and alumni access current job postings electronically through the Career Network.  In addition, MSU Law Career Services provides access to a variety of external job posting resources, and the Employment Resources Links section.
