History

Since its founding as the Detroit College of Law in 1891, Michigan State University College of Law has been committed to the principle of providing legal educational access to individuals from all spectrums of the global community. For over a century, as a result of our non-discriminatory policy, we have been trendsetters in producing legal clinicians from diverse backgrounds to the bench and bar. Our continued goal of recruiting and retaining a diverse student population is essential to the viability of the Law College's founding mission.
