Board of Trustees: David J. Sparrow

David Sparrow received his Juris Doctor degree from the Detroit College of law in 1951 and a Doctor of Laws degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1995.

He has served as a member of the MSU College of Law Board of Trustees since 1985, and is currently the board's treasurer.  Trustee Sparrow is chair of the MSU College of Law Foundation and was president of the Foundation until 2007.  He has supported the Law College in many capacities, and has served as a past chair and current member of the MSU College of Law Development Council. 
Mr. Sparrow founded his firm in 1952 with his partner, Gerald Rowin, and they practiced together until 2001.  The firm of Rowin & Sparrow specializes in real estate law and investments.

Mr. Sparrow was president of Management Corporation of Michigan and he is also a past president of Plaza Investment Company. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is a past member of the Oakland County Bar Association.
