Trustee Weiss is a Probate Judge assigned to the Family Division of Genesee County. He was appointed to the bench by Governor John Engler and subsequently won election in 2002 and 2006.
Judge Weiss holds a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Law School. He served as the Genesee County prosecutor from 1979-1992 and as city attorney for the City of Flint from 1969-71. Judge Weiss has served as the President of the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan and as Vice President of the National District Attorney Association. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Genesee County Bar Association.
