Externships
The Law College features an extensive public-service externship program, including judicial, legal aid, and government attorney externships. The Law College also offers a Washington, D.C. externship program that allows students to receive on-the-job training as an extern in a federal agency, such as the Department of Commerce and the Federal Communications Commission, while receiving academic credits through the Law College’s distance-learning courses. In addition, the Career Services Office assists students in identifying and obtaining internship positions in intellectual property and communications law.
