MSU College of Law

February 1, 2015, is Priority Deadline for Scholarship Consideration

Prospective applicants for the fall 2015 incoming class are encouraged to submit all application materials by February 1, 2015, to ensure consideration for an MSU Law scholarship. Since the Admission and Scholarship Committee considers every admitted candidate for all types of scholarship aid as part of the review process, there is no separate application.

The College of Law will offer a variety of scholarship types, ranging in value from $9,000 to full tuition, including academic-merit awards, scholarships to students planning to study indigenous law or intellectual property law, and trustee awards.

According to Charles Roboski, assistant dean for admission and financial aid, many awards are renewable, and the Law College also provides subsequent scholarship aid to law students who excel in their first year.

“Our scholarship program, coupled with our strong academic programs and our range of nationwide experiential learning opportunities, make an MSU Law degree a great value,” Roboski said.

It’s not just the availability of scholarship aid that brings students to MSU Law. Third-year student Sophia Brelvi said her scholarship was only one of the factors that made MSU Law her top choice.

“This is a place where I feel welcomed,” she said. “People are willing to help and support each other. It’s a great environment.”

Along with attracting a top-caliber, diverse student population, MSU Law’s scholarship program has been instrumental in helping students graduate with substantially smaller educational debts.
