Student-Owned Computer Support Policy

Providing Students with Assistance

The Technology Services department provides assistance to students with academic technology:

  • Connectivity, basic setup and how-to assistance with
    • MSU NetID, MSU e-mail and MSU AFS space
    • ExamSoft
    • Trial Director
    • Law College Novell Account ID and password
    • Network access – both wired and wireless
    • Distributive printing software
    • Microsoft Windows XP & Vista installation
    • Laptop software troubleshooting
    • Antivirus and spyware scans
    • Data backup to your own external drives

Please note that limited support is provided for Mac products and Linux.

  • Repair referral for laptop hardware
  • Support for Moot Court and Classroom Technology

If you are considering upgrading or replacing your laptop, we will be happy to provide recommended specifications.
