Competition Teams at MSU Law
Our competition teams represent MSU Law in nationwide interscholastic and bar association events. The competition program at MSU Law has continually expanded in size and scope, attaining national recognition and establishing a winning reputation. The success of our program reflects directly on MSU Law. Competitors advocate before federal and state judges, practicing attorneys, and distinguished law professors in locations throughout the country.
It is important that our competitors, as the public face of the Law College, represent and improve upon this tradition of excellence. All students must apply and be selected for competition teams. The teams look for 2Ls and 3Ls who display the skills and work ethic necessary to continue the Law College’s winning tradition.
Competitions at MSU College of Law are divided into three main categories:
- Trial
- Appellate
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (Arbitration and Negotiation)
To Apply:
- Submit applications and supporting materials by the assigned spring deadline
- Attend any required try-outs/interviews
- Students will be asked to rank interest in the different competition categories and the different competition teams (for appellate competitions).
