About MSU Law

Michigan State University College of Law attracts talented students and distinguished professors from around the world.

The student experience is enriched by small-class sizes and low student-to-faculty ratio, top-ranked competitive programs, and nationally recognized programming.

We have the number one Moot Court program in the country, for two straight years. Our Business Law and Tax Law programs are in the National Jurist’s Honor Roll.

Our immigration law, family law, and low-income taxpayer law clinics as well as our award-winning trial practice institute are among the first of their kind in the country. Our newest clinic, specializing in pre-conviction appeals, in the only of its kind in the state.

Our graduates go to work! 92 percent of the class of 2024 were employed within 10 months of graduation – the highest in a decade.

Our centers of excellence -- animal law, indigenous law and global food law – are considered the authority in their areas and are often cited in published materials.

We are among a small group of law schools to have a prestigious Order of the Coif chapter.
