Communications Officers
Aaryn Richard is the senior director of marketing and communications at Michigan State University's College of Law. He is the chief communications strategist and storyteller, supported by a team of writers, creatives, and strategists. Together, the team celebrates the change-making roles College of Law students and alumni play globally.
Aaryn lives in Lansing with his husband, a 16-pound cat, and two 5-pound dogs. (Yes, the dogs fit into plush bags.) And, despite the jeers for being a strict adherent to the Chicago Manual of Style, he is still permitted to speak to the press.
Although an adopted Spartan, Aaryn earned his Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Colorado State University (another Land Grant University). A Michigander through and through, Aaryn is a proud Central Michigan University alumnus, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature.
Marina Fizell is the digital communications manager for the Communications team at MSU Law. She works on digital and print marketing initiatives for the law college. Marina completed her undergraduate degree program in Business Administration at the University of Central Florida. She comes from a background in digital marketing in the entertainment industry.

Steven Klukowski is the web developer for the Law College. In addition to maintaining the college's web presence, he works with departments to develop web applications to streamline processes. He has undergraduate & graduate degrees from the University of Michigan.

Graphic Designer
Brenda J. Sanborn is a part-time member of the Communications team, and brings her creative expertise to develop vibrant graphics and print material. Brenda did her undergraduate work at Eastern University, and joins the MSU Law team after working with Communications and Brand Strategy at Michigan State University. In addition to her work for MSU Law, she is an independent graphic designer for a variety of local companies.
