Create an Account or Login to Your Applicant Portal
The online application portal allows you to begin your application, save your work at any time and return to your application later. All information is transmitted through a secure server and kept confidential. The portal is used to check on the receipt of supporting materials, updates and the decision status.
The following items are required when submitting your application:
The American Bar Association requires each law school applicant to answer a series of questions on personal conduct. Be prepared to submit an explanation for any question to which you answer yes. Answering yes to a conduct question does NOT automatically result in a denial of application.
The statement of purpose should explain why you wish to join the Global Food Law Program, how you believe the program will assist you in reaching your personal and professional goals, and what benefits you would contribute to the program.
All non-native English speakers from countries other than the United States, Canada, Australia or the United Kingdom are required to submit an English proficiency test score. English proficiency test score waivers may be requested if you attended a college or university where at least two years of instruction was delivered completely in English.
Letters of recommendation are submitted electronically through the applicant portal. Be prepared to enter the name, phone number and email address of three references.
Letters of recommendation should be completed by individuals who can provide specific information on your intellect and professional skills and abilities. Employment related recommendations are encouraged. It is not necessary to submit an academic reference and letters from family members will not be accepted. In lieu of a traditional letter of recommendation, you may send your recommender our Recommendation Form to complete. Please note, whether recommenders submit a letter of recommendation or our Recommendation Form (PDF), it will need to be uploaded via the link sent to them by the MSU Application system.
Official transcripts are required from all degree-granting institutions attended.
The application fee is required to officially submit your application for admission.
Communication regarding outstanding items and next steps, including the admission is available inside the applicant portal. Log into the portal using the same email address used when you created your applicant portal.
