In anticipation of the November 2026 vote, MSU Law professor Quinn Yeargain explains that while a "yes" vote would allow elected delegates to overhaul state laws, Michigan voters have overwhelmingly rejected the proposal since 1978 due to unfamiliarity with the process and deep anxiety over letting politicians rewrite the state's foundation.
