The purpose of this document is to list the printers available to faculty and staff and provide information on how they should be utilized.
MSU College of Law provides all faculty and staff access to printers to perform their daily job duties. The college provides multi-function printers for larger jobs (25+ pages) and approved desktop printers for smaller jobs (1-25 pages).
Multi-function printers
Multi-function printers are purchased and serviced under contracts with a third-party vendor. They are housed in the Dean Suite, the 4th floor copy room, labs, and department offices.
These printers are intended for larger jobs, such as materials for class, booklets, and packets.
Per the university sustainability guidelines at https://sustainability.msu.edu and general cost consideration, please be mindful when printing larger jobs and use electronic options as much as possible. Excessive printing, particularly in color, may be charged back to a departmental budget at the discretion of the Chief of Staff.

Desktop printers
Smaller printers are deployed to individuals in their offices and connected via USB. These printers are intended for smaller jobs and cannot be shared.
To reduce the amount of printing in the unit, desktop printers must be approved by the Director of IT and the Chief of Staff.
